Are you all dressing up for Halloween? If so, what will you be?
I think I am going to go as a French maid.....
Extra points if your costume is veg-related! ;D
:D I'm going to be a began themed my little pony....dying my hair CRAZY colors, the vegan symbol on my bum :o a fun tail, clydesdle feet and hands!!~

Oh, I'm so excited this year. Usually, I just put keep out and no candy signs on the doors and studied instead of doing anything. But, now that I'm done with all of that ... my mom is having a buge Halloween party, inviting her whole department (she's a professor).
And, moreover, she's let me do the menu for 40 people. :o All vegan of course. :D I'm making 3 cakes, cheeseless veggie pizzas, dip (hummus and salsa) and tortilla chips. Margaritas for drinks. I'm also making carob chip cookies for favors.
Hopefully, it will all be delicious and everyone will come away with the "wow, vegan foods are yummy" idea.
I'm going to be a "corrupted angel" lol. White dress, thigh high white boots, a crooked halo, and a devil tail. (It's mainly all for my S/O - he loves boots. ;) )
I will probably go as the Witch I am. I got some great clothes from my S/O's sis a couple years ago and I've been wearing them every year. Not very comtumy but makes me feel good to be able to wear it out one night a year. :)

Baypuppy's treasure troll idea would be good too. Electric blue would knock their socks off. But you have to be brave to be a treasure troll... they don't really wear clothes if I rememeber them correctly.
ha, they are naked! i was going to get white/fleshtone sweats and stuff them to make myself "treasure troll plump" if you know what i mean.
i'm just trying to figure out where to find a big jewel for cheap.
If you felt like sacrificing the the sweatshirt, I'd just go with glue and glitter. But if you wanted something less permanent, I'd pin a jewel cutout of shiny fabric onto it.

i thought i had a few good ideas - none of which, unfortunately, will materialize.
1. one of michael vick's dogs. you know, totally gory with the halloween wound makeup, studded collar, some kind of doggie ears / nose, and a ripped falcons shirt to boot.
2. that chick heather from "rock of love." while i didn't watch the whole season, apparently enough people did that it would be a hoot to '80s dress it up as she did, with full teased hair and a neon yellow dress or something. like on the night brett michaels chose jess over her.
3. amy winehouse. just because i had hair down to my ass and could easily pull it off. "tattoo" the arms up, funk up the teeth, pile up the hair, and have a too-good time.
Some year (when I actually leave the house after 8 p.m. ::)) DH and I are going as Mickey and Mallory Knox from Natural Born Killers. I've got my accent down and everything. ;D

I thought about dressing up. I used to love it. But I haven't in a few years. Some of you have great ideas. My best costume was of a lady that got hung (I made it up .... before my veg days). I bought a long grey wig, a "ghostly dress" and I used make-up to make me look "dead" and to put the "ring" from the rope around my neck (the "rope rash"). I looked like one of those horror movies with the zombies walking/flying around. And that costume was actually for a work party some years ago at work (I actually worked in it LOL).
My thought is, what can I do in a machine shop? I can't wear anything that would get caught in the machines, but I want to be freaky like that. Any ideas?
