I've never had any career aspirations.  I don't enjoy working.  I could care less about being sucessful.
I would love nothing more than to work at a doggy day care - and not have to worry about how much I made.  But for now, to pay the bills, I work in credit repair for those who have filed bankruptcy.
Andy's the smart one with the good job.  Hopefully someday he'll release me from the workforce.

my major was nutrition as well, which I loved.  But I absolutely hated the way it was taught. The text books were funded in part by the dairy industry and the USDA Food Pyramid and website was a part of the curriculum.  I totally disagreed with a lot of the info and felt like a fraud putting down what they said was correct info just for an "a" when I knew it was not correct.  If I go back it will be "holistic nutrition" or macrobiotic nutrition counseling.

I studied law, and completed an arts degree in Italian language, literature and culture.

Had an amazing job working with endangered animals till I had to quit to wander the globe last year.  Now nothing would make me happier than to stay home and cook and be domesticated, but I sit in a mindless admin job playing on the interweb all day instead because we seriously need the money. Harumph.

i was thinking of going back to school for holistic nutrition as well... that would be awesome! i wonder where they offer it? that would be if i have time of course... still don't know what i want do do with accounting though ...government, auditing, tax, regular old accounting, public sector, private sector, CPA, non CPA... it's kinda overwhelming... i mainly just want a job and want to get out of the damn grocery store!... of course i would love it if i didn't have to work or got to volunteer somewhere and didn't have these endless bills :(

i should say: this is what i hated about my major and why i'm not currently pursuing anything with it. i don't want to be in an internship that will only teach me USDA nutrition.
i loved the science classes.

My undergrad is in Music Education.  I wanted to be a high school band director until I student taught and decided that I no longer wanted to do that.  I liked middle school band though.  Upon looking for a middle school job, I kinda "fell into" an elementary music job.  I'm in my fifth year now and can't really imagine doing much else.  Well, there are two other things though...I have a Masters in Music History and would like to get my PhD, though I doubt I ever will.  I really want to be a stay at home mom when the time comes.  I also want to get my yoga teaching certification....maybe in the next couple of years.

ETA:  Yes, I do really ramble this much in real life.  Wow.  hence my need for yoga

I'm majoring in physical anthropology, and I actually want to go into more archeology-type stuff. But I sincerely hate my school and my advisor seems useless. So I either need to go to an out of state school or switch majors to go to another in-state school.

I'm very good with the English language, and fairly good with music, but I don't want to be a teacher because I'm so bad with people. Neither English nor Music will be my major. I just can't do it.

In dream land I'd like to own a bakery. I find baking calming.

i was an Admin Asst for over 10 years, then shifted over to IT.  I worked as tech support for Dell for about 4+ years (great job!) "thank you for calling Dell tech support, my name is Andy - how may i help you today..."

I've been in IT for about 6+ years now and i'm realizing that while it has it's benefits (literally, too), i find myself desiring just so much more....and now i'm branching off - trying to get into the performing arts.  There's so many different paths one could go in - in that field, so who knows where the wind will take me (i'm a big "where the wind will take me" sort of person).  I'm enjoying the early stages of an acting (what i hope to be)"career" - i think there's almost no greater thrill for me then performing .. in some way, for people!

I'm an RN.  I worked the bedside for 17 year in various areas, mostly as a charge nurse..  Recently I got a desk job and deal with admissions and transfers.....the verdict is still out on whether I like it or not.  It's not as fulfulling but a whole lot less stressful.

I got my bachelors in textiles and fashion merch, which basically gets you crappy retail jobs.  About 10 years ago, I got my esthetician license, and now I work in a spa.  I love what I do, but like in most fields, the economy has hurt my job bad.  I make half of what I made about 2 years ago.

I am currently doing my undergrad work towards majors in physics and chemistry, with a german language minor.  I'll probably go on to grad school and get my PhD in physics, but that's not what I want to do with my life.  I hate research and don't want to be a teacher.  Like Courth, I think my dream job is owning my own vegan bakery, and making people really happy with desserts.

I studied art therapy, which was cool, but I don't think I want to go to grad school to become an actual art therapist. Now I'm an after school teacher, which is the best job I've ever had. I used to be a special education aide, which was cool, but now I work only 4 hours a day and make more money and it's really fun. I don't have any real career aspirations so I'll probably end up doing work like this for a while. I'd like to be a childless homemaker though.

I currently rebuild Catepillar diesel generator engines for marine applications.  I also work on/refurbish various other maine diesel engines and the vessels they go along with.  I do all this in the Coast Guard.  My current degree is a BSAST in Technical Studies.  I'd like a BS in Mechanical Engineering, but I'd have to go in person--- so I am waiting until after I transfer.

I'd eventually love to work with/rescue loads of animals while residing on my own farm-type place.  And owning a little coffee shop/eatery type place with my sister (the awesome pastry chef) would be amazing!!

I've been at my current job for 10 years !!! I work for a high tech chip company... I  work the badging office, making badges for new employees and contractors and all the stuff that goes along with that, and also do office stuff for our security team. Earlier this year, due to huge cuts in our company, the badging office hours were cut down to only 2 days a week, so the other 3 days I am back as a security receptionist/front desk, which is where I started...which is where I am now... >:D
I am currently going to school, I have been taking classes in the hospitality management program, as I eventually will open some sort of vegan food service company. I won't be completing the program however because several cooking courses are required, and though I could use the experience, I am uncomfortable with handling meat which is something I had to do in the basic food prep course that I took last year.I am just taking all the courses in the program that dont invove cooking. I have taken a lot of different courses at school because my job reimburses me, but I dont have any degrees or anything. I dont need a degree I just thirst for the knowledge.  8-)

I got a scholarship and studied Portuguese, I just wanted a major that would let me study abroad for a few semesters.

I worked for a small newspaper for a year and a half (got the job through connections) and now I'm teaching English in Spain for miserly wages while my husband takes care of most of the bills. I'd LOVE to be a sitcom writer; I'm pretty set on moving to LA next year but anything could happen between now and then.
