What's the oldest concert tee you still have?
I'm planning on moving while the housing market is in a slump and I can afford to move closer to work. In that effort, I'm going through my closet and am coming across a lot of concert tees I'm having problems parting with.
The oldest tee I've found so far is from a 1985 Simple Minds show. I went to shows before that, but this was the first show I went to without my parents. (They'd buy seat tickets for themselves and my friends and I would get floor tickets, because "we were too young to attend by ourselves.")
I wih I had saved my concert tshirts......I had a bunch, the first one I remember getting was REO Speedwagon
I threw out most of my t-shirts over the years--but I always hung on to my Rolling Stones!

I have a Tee from my first concert!!! 1982 US Festival. I was six months old, and later inherited the shirt from my dad when his belly outgrew it. It'll be 26 years old come labor day weekend!!
Grateful Dead, from 1993 (I think) at Buckeye Lake OH. It's in a box somewhere...
I've never been a big t-shirt wearer, but I have a Devo Energy Dome.

I got it at a concert in Houston I believe in 1983, could have been '84. I went to SO many concerts at the Astrodome back in the early 80s that I just can't keep track anymore. Must be my old-timers disease kicking in.
I have a '92 Def Leppard tee. :)

You are SO AWESOME!!!
My oldest concert shirt is from Paul McCartney in 1993. Actually, I think it may be the only concert shirt I have...not really big on buying shirts.
I have a 1984 Chicago tee that I inherited from my mom..and a Willie Nelson tee from my mom that's not dated by year (late 70s early 80s?), but the first big concert that I went to and got mine own shirt was in like 2002..I have lots of 'em though!
I have a 1982? maybe 83 Billy Squier/Def Leppard t-shirt. I also have a Ozzie Osborne one from around the same time. And if anyone here is from Portland Maine...I still have a Free Street Pub t-shirt which was very cool a million years ago ;D
Not a concert tee, but I do have the 1981 (?) MASH end-of-series teeshirt which I am still treasuring, in spite of the holes coming in it.

ENVY!!! I have a M*A*S*H shirt from when the show was on, but it isn't an end-of-series tee.
I do have the trivia game.
OUCH, HH! Now I'm the one green with envy!! I had the MASH Trivia book that came out also at the end of the series, and my sister "borrowed" it before I had even finished reading it. I was going on a trip for 2 weeks and she was like, "Oh come on, let me use it, you won't even be here" and she hassled me till (against my better judgement) I gave in. I never saw it again. When I asked for it, she was like, "Oh, it's around, we'll find it" and of course we never did. I never got to finish it.
Why do people who would never shoplift in a store think it's perfectly OK to "borrow" (ie steal) books/CDS? When my father died we discovered half his "library" belonged to other people--some of whom had already died. :P
haha
My first concert was Ozzy's Retirement Sucks tour in '93 maybe. I dont think I bought a shirt at it or the next two concerts I went to, Lilith Fair.
The only concert tshirt I have is one from when my ex and I went out on our last *date* together as married couple, and 9 months before he left me. He left it in the closet when he left, its MINE now! HA
Anyway, the group is awesome, and the group has a GREAT name: The Well Hungarians....I still wonder how they got that name!!
I refuse to spend the 30 and 40 bucks a t-shirt costs nowadays. But I do have one from Bette Midler's tour about five years ago.
I used to have a TON of t shirts....the only ones i have left are Nine Inch Nails and Jesus Lizard....I'm gonna put them up on ebay!
