Wrist piercing!!!

Okay, does ANYONE here have a wrist piercing? I have spontaneously developed a sudden desire for one and just wanted to know.

I wouldn't, the chance of systemic infection is very great.
surface piercings are really in right now, but they don't last. I have a scar from the one I had years ago. It will not last and you will have a scar.
it doesnt really seem like a good idea..
1- sleeves..getting caught on it..ripping out the piercing oww.
2- i guess these arent really the same, but my friend had the web on her hand pierced (you know, like that skin between your thumb and index finger) and it got crazy infected since it was in place that lots of germs get on and stuff and she had to have it like drained at the doctor and then do antibiotics..soo. yeah. does not sound like the worlds best thing to do. intriguing though..

In all actuality its possible, go with a experienced piercer. Brian over at http://purebodyarts.com/ is an excellent choice.
Just keep in mind that your body my reject it.

I wanted to do something like that or piercings, but I freakishly like being khaki and incognito. I feel that if I'm forgettable it makes me stealthier, or something equally black op deranged.

ah yes, the sub clavicle looks nice, but tends to hurt like a bitch and often gets infected....from what I've read, of course...not that I know from experience (LE SIGH, true).
...but I think that the surface clavicle looks equally sweet, and (again, from what I hear) is a bit easier to maintain.

^btw, this is NOT me... unfortunately.
I know a guy who recently got two little bars placed in his inner wrist...it looks awesome, but it got caught on his sleeve, got nastily infected almost right after he got them in...seems to cause him nothing but trouble, heh.. :P
OK, here comes the medical dork! With that sub-clavicle, it LOOKS like there is a huge potential to pierce the lung. And then you'll probably end up with a pneumothorax, and that my friends, is sooooo bad-news bears, it's not even funny. Granted, I'm not a piercing professional, therefore I know nothing about piercing. I don't even have my ears pierced. However, I see that picture, and it just screams collapsed lung/chest tube to me.

I really shouldn't have read this thread as I just sat here wincing on every mention of weird piercings.....and I thought I had been quite tough just getting my nose pierced twice!

To the original poster, if you are going to get it done, go to good place and get to know your artist. Have a look at her/his work if you can. Going on recomendations from trusted friends (or cool vegwebbers like thedharmablues who know what they're talking about) is a good idea too. Some parlours offer "guarentees' for surface piercings. What this means is that if the piercing is rejected in x amount of time they will re-pierce for free or at least less; do ask around though and don't go to a place that might be sketchy just because they offer a "guarentee". Good luck and do post pics if you get something done.
And humboldt_honey, I think those piercings are red because they have just been pierced. Most piercings stay red for a few days even and can be tender for a while and can go red if bumped or accidently pulled. I think that's why those pics look the way they do.
Okay, I gotta ask - doesn't the nasal to oral piercing hurt something fierce when you get sick????

I worked with a girl who had hip piercings on my both sides. she actually had 2 on each side so that each on looked kind of like a star. It was pretty cool...not for me, but pretty damn cool looking.
