New Year's Resolution- BECOMING VEGAN need suggestions!!!!

I have been going vegan for a few years now but I am ready to take the final step. Please let me know quick easy recipes and desserts I should try.I am hoping to find everyday items in a regular grocery store because by the time I get off from work the health food store is closed. I need to find recipes I can also feed  to 2 ovo-lacto vegetarains and 2 meat eaters.  If I cook it and it is good they will all eat it. I like foods that are spicy and well seasoned. Any recipe suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I did do bean burritos the other night which was a big hit.  I just need to find other quick easy recipes.

Thanks  :)

Congratulations and bravo!!!

My big, easy thing is fajitas.  I do something similar to this: (http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=6007.0), only I don't use vegan sour creme or cheese, I just leave those things off and use salsa and guacamole.  The secret is the guacamole, if you've got that down, you're golden!

Chili is always quick and yummy, especially in the winter: http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=10404.0

And then of course PASTA!  There are many really good pasta sauces in the supermarket, and nothing could be quicker!

As for desserts, the super moist chocolate cake (http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=6686.0) and the pineapple upside down cake (http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=12596.0)are winners!

Those lemon squares are the bomb.

Go for ethnic food where your protein choices are harmonious even to the eyes of a skeptic... you don't have to do meat substitutes that force a comparison that way.  New, delicious foods are interesting in their own right.  Leave conversion of old family favorites for "phase two" and focus on adventure at first.

A lot of middle eastern and Indian food is "accidentally vegan" or can be made so on purpose... and they'll never miss the meat because it doesn't belong in there anyway.  And if you feel like a bit of down-home... well, vegan chili is wonderful, and cornbread!

Again I have to recommend Ann Jackson's The Heart of the Home cookbook.  It will suck the intimidation right out of feeding a mixed crowd.  It's not a vegan cookbook per se but it's flexible and vegetarian and the options to veganize are always there.  And plenty of gooey, southern desserts!

I like the Vegan Coach website www.vegancoach.com that not only has vegan recipes, but also a Top Ten Nutrition Tips, How to Create a Vegan Diet Plan, and a Vegan Cooking Guide.
