Those who've "cleansed" - I'm looking for advice
Okay, so after 3 weeks of being on chemicals, and looking towards another few months of drug ingestion, I have decided that once my knee is healed and I no longer am on pain killers, I should do a cleanse to detox from all the yuckies. I've done the "Master Cleanse" for 3 weeks in the past..... But I'm looking for others as well.
Points for me to keep in mind are: I do not really want to lose weight (I struggle enough with keeping weight on...), I will probably be fairly poor and unable to afford more than $10/wk for "edibles", and though I'll be off the kidney/liver killing meds - I'll still need some amount of "protein" to help the muscles further heal.
Like I said, this whole thing is probably months away. I just want to get the ball rolling and do as much research as possible. Thanks for any advice you can give!!
probably be better to discuss it rather directly with your treating physician so as to have all the background information at hand prior to offering any suggestions; might likely get some speculative responses from the internet but even those with the appropriate credentials & experience are likely to redirect your efforts ...
g'luck!
which sounds more like what you want?
body cleansing, fasting and detox-
defensive nourishment, building immune power-
mineral rich for stress and mental health-
recuperation & regeneration-
I am guessing the last one based on what you've said but I can list the "cleanse" info for you...I have tons of info.
I've done the master cleanse and the 21 day martha's vinyard detox diet. They are both pretty intense cleanses, but with the MV detox, you get to "eat." That one is more of a juice fast, and pureed soups in the evenings. It also can be supplemented with a protein drink for those who aren't trying to lose weight, so maybe that one would be better for you. Those are the only ones I know anything about though.
