"You're Not Being the Ball, Danny" Vegan Meatballs

What you need:

1 package (14 ounces) vegan sausage (I use Gimme Lean sausage flavor)
6 ounces vegan turkey crumbles (I use Morningstar Farms crumbles)
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 bunch fresh parsley
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1-2 splashes lemon juice
vegan parmesan cheese, if desired
pepper, to taste
tomato sauce, to serve

What you do:

1. Throw everything (through lemon juice) into a bowl and combine; mashing it together by hand is best because it lets you get a feel for the texture.
2. Form into balls a little bit larger than a ping pong ball and slightly smaller than a golf ball.
3. Brown in oil, making sure to continue rotating to ensure you cook all sides, probably about 6 minutes (not all balls will fit in a frying pan at once).
4. Continue heating until hot throughout. If you're more health conscious you can probably bake them. Place in a container with tomato sauce and fake parmesan. Season with pepper. Refrigerate overnight. Microwave and serve.
I brought these to a meatball contest and they absolutely devoured them. The reason they need to be refrigerated is because they are about 6.7 billion times better once they soak up the sauce flavor and are reheated.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

I will try to be nice about this but these are not very good. Not in look, texture, or taste. I made them twice. My sister made them once. Just not good. Too bad bc when u read the recipe, it seems to hold a lot of promise.
