How long until you rescue more chickens?  Do you have space to do that in your new place?  Any chance you'll be standing next to Stephen King in the grocery store check-out line someday?  :-D

:) I'm in the southernmost tip of Maine.  An ity bitty town that is half in New Hampshire and half in Maine.  I went grocery shopping last night, no Stephen King tough...It would be cool to meet him he is quite the philanthropist and donates money to local schools for their extracurricular activities. I benefited from some of his donations in highschool- so i think he's a pretty cool guy, even if his books are too scary for me to read.  ^-^ I have not made soup yet. I want to though. I'm kinda scared to cook at my house cause my dad has been living there as a bachelor for too long and it needs a good cleaning. I started in on it but it will be a few more days 'till its a place I can cook in. As for rescuing chickens...erm... I dunno...my dads dog killed the last hen I had in Maine, so I'm reluctant to get more...BUT yesterday i was in the Library (which is NOT arranged by Dewey Decimal system!!!!  :o ) and the two librarians happened to be talking about chickens. One was saying she was gonna order baby chicks to be shipped to her because none of hers are broody. I piped up...couldn't help myself. told her that "shipping was really traumatic to chicks and would probally ruin them as brooders anyways...to defiantly look for a local chicken..." I dunno. They were friendly and fascinated with my chicken tales...but something tells me chickens equal commodity to them.  :( Maybe this would be the perfect place for my chicken rescue. But my stay here might not be too long depending on the internships. i don't think I should rescue more chickens until I get that settled...
