There are a lot of major tea lovers on this site (I'm not one of them). I mean, I like it fine enough, but I don't lurve it. Here's a recent tea thread.

Plain old nice mild green tea is my favorite with organic sugar and vanilla soy milk. I drink it about 3 times a day. MMMMM!

I am sooo envious of the teasources you have there in the US. Spanish teas are usually astronomically expensive and/or terrible, usually both.
So lately for me it is PG Tips for regular consumption if I need a bit of caffiene (coyly called "tea-ine" in Spain, as if it were a different substance all together, which it isn't). For decaf I am running out of my Constant Comment bags. *whines in self-pity*

Toss-up between the barley tea they serve at one of the local sushi places, and the pu ehr from the illegal tea place down in Cali. I seriously love pu ehr.

Chamomile tea hands down. Any kind really. And for winter I love spicy cinnamony teas. I always buy at least three different kinds of the special Holiday teas that come out.
But I can only drink caffeine free, because of my caffeine sensitivity. My old favorite used to be Earl grey or black tea with vanilla. :(

Have you ever had a London Fog? Earl Grey, cream, and vanilla. It rapes, like, every rule ever (Earl Grey and lemon, cream is not for tea) but it's really good on a cold wet day.
Do you find rooibos an acceptable tea substitute?

Illegal tea? :o Or do you mean they don't have an opening licence?

Er, the latter. The tea is... grey market. It's a hippie kind of place; the laws are more like guidelines, anyway...

I am a big tea drinker. Straight, no sweetener or whitener. The best tea I ever had was ginseng oolong when I was in China. It was so invigorating and it gave this instant warm, strengthening feeling through my body. In a word, AMAZING!
When I came back to the States I ordered some online and it was nothing like what I remembered. I think they must export the non-amazing (opiate-laced?) ginseng oolong.

@Narcissus, personally I don't consider rooibos a satisfactory tea-substitute. It's an interesting infusion, but not one I'd care to drink often. It's just not camellia sinensis.
Lately I've been drinking a lot of pu-erh, like one cup a day, but day before yesterday I just went off it for some reason. Maybe because it warmed up a tad out there. Funny--the dry tea seems to smell faintly of fish, but the brew doesn't. Anyone else get the "fish factor", or is it my nose?

I've been really digging on Tripple Leaf's white peony lately! It's nice and light with a full, fragrant flavor! Yum!

This blend I got at Teavana.
Jasmine Dragon Green Tea with Lavender Dreams White Tea.
And you can resteep it about 5 times! (Which is good because it was a lot more expensive than I thought it would be)

Earl grey, Lady grey, and Peppermint. I could survive off those ones forever.

On the fourth rinse or so, I start getting sea-salty notes...
