SO HOW'D IT GO?
I added a couple pinches of cinnamon and only use half a banana... Deeeelish! My skeptical soy-hating mother drank more than half of it, you couldn't even taste the soy. ;D
I just made something very similar to this last night but I used nesquick chocolate syrup instead of the cocoa and sweetener. There are usually bags of ripe bananas that I can get at the grocery store, it is about a dollar and I freeze them and use them in smoothies and baked goods. Yum.
Yummy dessert. I made this with 2 small-ish bananas that weren't completely frozen yet & light vanilla soymilk. i didn't add the syrup and with the 3 tbsp of cocoa it was a little bitter so i added 1 tbsp of crunchy peanut butter. soooo good. it blended up but still left lots of peanut chunks. i'll be making this lots.. maybe add frozen raspberries instead of the pb next time.. choco-raspberry shake sounds good.
Try adding some cinnamon and/or vanilla - YUM :D
my favorite thing to do with rotting bananas....really good with a couple strawberries too. a vegan staple fo sure

So much for following the destructions. (-:
This tasted a bit gritty as-is. I think with less cocoa & more banana it will taste excellent. My "blender" was most unwilling to "catch" the banana I'd added (it fitted neatly between the blades), so I had to blend it for a while longer than I expected, but it worked out OK in the end.
Splendid! I've been craving milkshakes but never really considered making one with soy milk before. This was yummy... I used just a touch less cocoa than the recipe asked for, and used agave nectar instead of maple syrup. Top it off with some vegan whipped cream, and it's a delicious dessert. Definitely worth sharing, although I think I might want to drink it all myself :)
this was yummy! I used 2 Tbs Dutch Cocoa powder per serving. If you have a good blender, like a Vitamixer, you can use less rice/soy milk, add some ice, and it is the consistency of ice cream!
Love it! :)
