SO HOW'D IT GO?
So after making a dddeeeeelightful hummus for my lunch tomorrow, I realized that I had ZERO pitas/bread/crackers/fresh veggies to eat it with. It's late and I was in a pinch. And then AH HA!! I remembered this recipe. I got to work and made 8 whole wheat 'pitas' in about half an hour!! It's great, they smell and taste yummerific. Thanks for the recipe!!
This was great. I didn't modify anything, and used whole wheat flour. Actually, I should take that back, since I did sort of modify it - I made it a stuffed crust using some Follow Your Heart Cheddar that I cut up and rolled into the crust. Some sauce, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, and pepperoni for the toppings, and I could have died a happy man the night I made it. :)>>>
This is really good and easy! I like to make it without yeast for a crispier crust, but use olive oil and Italian herbs. My omni hubbie loves it! The dough seemed a little dry so I added a tiny bit of water and less salt.
This was FANTASTIC!
I used olive oil, added a half tablespoon of sugar to the yeast, and added Italian spices to the dough. This was super quick and by far the best pizza crust I have made from scratch.
I also split the dough into two individual size pizzas and mixed pressed garlic in with the olive oil that I rubbed on top. Then I piled zucchini, squash, tomatoes, broccoli and soy cheese on top. YUM YUM!
The only problem I had was that, while I was mixing the flour in, it became a little dry and tried to break apart. I just added a couple tablespoons of water to solve that as I kneaded the dough.
I will be making this again and again!
I love recipes like this. I just can't fail with it. It comes out perfect everytime. I like putting herbs in the dough for more flavor and sprinkling cornmeal on the bottom. Its terrific and super tasty. YUM! ::)
This was easy to make, but the yeast flavor is too strong for me and my husband. I don't really know why it needs yeast.
Very fast and easy. It was my first time making pizza crust and I'm happy to say it won't be my last. I added herbs and garlic powder to the crust and topped the pizza w/ vegan pepperoni, pineapple, and FYH cheese. Delish! Next time though I will use less oil and let the dough rise for a bit. Also i'll double the recipe, since the original recipe only allowed the 3 people in my house to have small portions. Thanks for the recipe!!
Wow, so quick and easy! Good recipe! BE SURE you roll the crust out thinly - it makes all the difference. I also increased my oven temp to 450, for a better impact on the crust.
This is awesome!!!! i've made this twice, doubled it both times, and hand tossed/ rolled it and its great!!!
quick easy taste great! i put about 4 tsp basil in it, and cant wait to experiment with other spices to go with my toppings!
i will never be buying those pricey frozen crusts that almost always come broken anyway!
also, for N.yeast lovers, i made a "cheese" sauce and used it instead of tomato based sauce and with veggie piled on top it was soooo good!!
Mine didn't turn out at all.
It didn't stick together.
So I used tortillas.
