What you need:

1/2 cup raw cacao powder
1/4 cup maca powder
1 cup date sugar (i use Tree of Life date sugar...its simply ground and dehydrated dates)
1/4 cup raw coconut oil, melted

What you do:

1) Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. In fact, i suggest sifting the cacao powder and maca together for an even blend. Smooth fudge into a baking dish lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for 1 hour. Remove and score with a knife.
You could eat the bars as is, but my suggestion is to freeze overnight after scoring. If you're pressed for time, omit the overnight freeze step. Enjoy!
WARNING- eat with caution...the aphrodisiac properties of these bars have been shown to cause intense feelings of pleasure, love, and excitement.
SUGGESTIONS:
This is a very bitter chocolate. If you like your chocolate sweeter, substitute date sugar for 1/4 cup organic brown sugar. The rawness of the recipe will be compromised but you'll get the sweetness you desire!
Source of recipe: I wrote this recipe because I had a ton of cacao and maca to use up.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

glad you enjoyed it! if raw cacao weren't so frigging expensive i'd probably take these to the office, but i don't love my co-workers that much and i'd hate to see them acting more excited than they already are haha.

I didn't have maca powder, so I just used extra cacao powder. I also added some agave nectar to sweeten it up a bit.
This is a great recipe! All my non-vegan friends loved it too!
