SO HOW'D IT GO?
i just made this and it is delicious!! better than regular french toast in my own opinion :)
Amazing! It didn't really look like French toast sticks, but it taste offly good. try it
Delicious recipe. I think the nutmeg is what makes them so good. Never would've thought to put that in. I was never a fan of non-vegan french toast anyway. They just tasted like sugary eggs to me.
Amazing, this is better than cholesterol filled egg and milk french toast. This is the best vegan recipe ive ever had its so yummy! I doubled the recipe for 3 people, it was more than enough
I just made this for breakfast with my leftover sourdough sandwich bread I made in the bread machine a few days ago. My omni husband loved it!!!
Instead of almond flavoring I used maple flavor. ;)
Made these tonight with Potato bread which went from the freezer to 'bake' in the toaster oven for a few minutes before dredging. I think the bit of crunch on the bread worked well in the recipe. I also omitted the sugar and reduced the nutmeg (don't know by how much, I just microplaned one until I thought it was enough).
Very good recipe! Definitely a keeper. :)
This is one of the best vegan french toast recipes i have ever tasted in my life. It has a wonderful flavor and is extremely easy to make. I recommend this recipe to anyone, non-vegans and vegans alike.
I never really liked french toast as a child (and therefore don't remember ever eating it), but this was fantastic. I used chocolate soy slender in place of the soy milk (I have diabetes), whole wheat bread, and used less sugar than called for... Came out very nice :)
Very good french toast. I used Rudi's gluten free multi grain bread and cut the slices into sticks. I also used coconut oil for cooking. It came out very crispy ;)b. For those who had soggy french toast, you need to use thick bread. Ends of bread work really well too.
This was great! I'm super new to veganism and I was pretty skeptical about "vegan french toast" because I grew up eating the age-old egg, milk and cinnamon recipe but this was amazing! Better than non-vegan french toast, even! I used pumpkin pie spice instead of nutmeg and cinnamon because I couldn't find my nutmeg (bummer) and it was delicious, crunchy too! I will definitely be making this again in the very near future! ;)b
