SO HOW'D IT GO?
Very good. I make several variations on this frequently. It doesn't really taste anything like tuna, even with the kelp, but at least I don't have to worry about fishy breath after eating it.
;)b
This is so easy and very tasty. I used a bit of chopped NORI in it and a few stuffed olives and didnt use the pickle or mustard. Very nice in a wrap with salad. So quick!!! Def make this again!
Thanks.
This recipe was good, next time I want to try it with the kelp granules as suggested by other users.
I added a couple of things: minced dulse (for a fishy taste), green relish, and some Dijon mustard for a bit of tang. I ate the "tuna" in wraps using Boston lettuce leaves. Very, very good and filling!
How did everyone mash the chickpeas? I tried with a potato masher and only half of them mashed.. Still a tasty sandwich but needs lots of salt and pepper. I added onion and celery.
I put them in my food processor for a quick whir-along with some sliced celery and a small dill pickle. Yum!

I use a potato masher as well... it helps if u mash them in a flat pan/ round pie tin... also i found that adding a bit of vegan mayo to the mix helps when mashing... u should try... it does take at least 5 min for me to mash them really well... practice makes perfect :)

I was quite impressed with the way it turned out! Next time I'll probably use some chopped celery, 'cause I like that. Some celery salt wouldn't hurt either. I used dill relish instead of sweet relish, but it's still delicious. I'll be making this again! ;D
I looove this stuff! I ate it even before going vegan. I think it's what first gave me my undying love for garbanzos! I also like to add a shake of onion powder to it.
This recipe was awesome but I doubled the relish, mayo, and mustard. I also added kelp granules to give it a seafood taste as well as celery salt instead of salt... thank u though it was very good :)
