Peanut Butter Carrot Puppy Biscuits
What you need:
5 cups flour
3 cups rolled oats
2-1/4 cups water
5 large carrots, finely shredded
2/3 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup applesauce
What you do:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. In a bowl, combine flour and oats. Mix in water, carrots, peanut butter, and applesauce.
3. Knead dough until people-cookie dough consistency. Roll out dough to desired thickness on a floured surface. Use cookie cutters to create biscuit shapes.
4. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until slightly firm. Let biscuits cool... and let pups enjoy!
Source of recipe: I combined a few recipes I found online to create something my pups would love.

My Dog become happy when i give him these types of Biscuits. Maybe many dogs also eats Texas recipes Biscuits and Many Dogs likes this.

These made several dozen. I made little snowflakes for small dogs and big bone shapes for large dogs. I am giving them out to neighbors for the holidays (along with some stuff for people too). My dogs tested and enthusiastically approved. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

**These cookies can be easily modified to suit your pups' tastes, however, ALWAYS make sure the ingredients you're using are safe for canine consumption. Also, as these cookies have fresh ingredients, I put most of them in the freezer to save for later. Without refridgerating the others, they lasted about a week before going bad. Refridgerating them may prolong the life of these, but I recommend freezing any that won't be consumed within a couple weeks.

Glad your pups loved these as much as mine did! Yeah, the quantity of biscuits from this recipe is HUGE because I kept adding more flour or oats or things to get it to the right texture.
I made these tonite for my lil pooches and they were a BIG hit. I 1/2'd the recipe and it still made 5 pans of toy sized biscuits. I chilled the dough in between pans to help with the cookie cutting. It was getting too moist otherwise. My dogs LOVE them and they'll be my staple cookie now. I think I'll add some flax seed next time too just to jazz it up :) ;)b
Maggie loves these, but she loves peanut butter and carrots so that's no surprise. But Harley refuses to eat anything if it doesn't have meat in it (unless I pretend I want it).
I made some modifications: I skipped the flour and ground the oats into flour, used one HUGE carrot, and didn't need any water. Unfortunately, I don't have bone cookie cutters, so I used hearts and leaves. These make great rat treats, too!
Glad your pup liked these! My younger babe loves veggies so she's easy but my older one doesn't. Luckily he couldn't taste the carrots with all the peanut butter!
