SO HOW'D IT GO?
Just made this tonight! It was great, however I replaced the white sugar with coconut sugar. As a result, they weren't as sweet as I would have liked. Next time I'll stick to the regular sugar.
I love these brownies! I've made them many times, and they're delicious. Fun fact: you can use this to make two very different types of brownies. I couldn't find the baking powder one day, so I used an equal amount of baking soda instead. They came out fluffy and light, instead of the rich fudge that the normal recipe makes. This is the best brownie recipe I have ever used.
The only change I made to this recipe was to sub white whole wheat flour. They had a cake-like texture, not dense and fudgey like I expected; the taste was fine, but the chocolate chips were the most flavorful part. Still, it was really easy and made from pantry ingredients I had on hand.
These look good, I've been wanting to try a vegan brownies recipe that doesn't utilize tofu, and this might be cool for that. Anyone tried this recipe subsituting a whole grain flour for the AP? I also usually add coffee and coconut milk in place of the water for more flavor
