I used 1 tsp garlic flakes, 1 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp thyme, and I sprinkled the chickpeas with paprika and pepper, and they had plenty of flavor. Very yummy!
I used red miso instead of yellow or white, about a tbsp of yellow onion instead of scallions, and sesame ginger blend in place of the ginger root. Yum :)
I didn't really like it. After I added some soy sauce and a roasted red pepper, it was edible, but I wouldn't make it again. It was also a bit too thin for my tastes.
