I refer to VWAV and Veganomicon as "The Bible"

I have referred to VWAV as my bible since I first picked it up. I always show my friends my kitchen and cookbook library since they know me as Mr. Cookingface Magillicutty and it always receives an easy laugh (it could just be a pity laugh, who knows?). At any rate, I bought V-Con on preorder and when it arrived I was puzzled as to what I should refer to it as.
AND I'VE FIGURED IT OUT NOW!!
VWAV = The Old Testament
V-Con = The New Testament.
I just thought this was postworthy. Or maybe I have too much time on my hands.
oh goodness. i think i'll have to adopt these names as i feel the same way :) (can VCTOTW be something as well.. perhaps its something new-age.. as it is quite radically different from the other two..)
I wish I lived closer to you. People who like to cook, like you and mdvegan, inspire me to get in my kitchen. It would be fun to have rotating host monthly vegan dinners.

That's awesome! I love VWAV too! I haven't seen the other one--but I'm lookingforward to it!
Ha ha. It IS post-worthy. hilarious.
are Revelations part of the new testament?
It was always my favorite part. I like monsters and damnation, though
ha ha, perhaps Cupcakes can be some... uhh... well, it is about cupcakes. not sure if a cupcake book can be ranked as being like a vegan cooking bible, ya know? perhaps some lost scrolls or lost gospel or something... i find the gospels the most interesting part of the bible, and i do love me some cupcakes.
maybe not a bible.. but they're definately come vegan magic or something.
Definitely post worthy! For VCTOTW....what about "The Gospel"?

that is what I was thinking at first. But isn't the gospel just a piece of the NT? Are there tons of cupcakes in veganomicon?
ha! this is pretty awesome and i love the biblical comparisons!
what about "where it all vegan"? that's a bible of sorts, too, what with all the recipes for EVERYTHING - including lotions and dog treats, etc. on top of all the yummy recipes...at least, it's a bible in my opinion.
am i alone here or have i just deemed it the koran or something?

where it all vegan should be genesis.
The Sarah Kramer books should definitely be considered "genesis".
Lots of stuff that needs to be loosely interpreted to make some semblance of sense.

heh-heh! of course!
that really made me laugh, but let me stop before this goes off topic...
Baypuppy and Hespedal, actually, there are 2 cupcake recipes in Veganomicon--Caramel-Apple-Spice Cupcakes & Jelly Donut Cupcakes.
