Let's talk about how everyone grooms their pubes.
I really can't stand having any pubic hair. I shave mine, but I do love a good wax. I would get waxed all the time if I didn't have to pay for it and didn't have to wait for the regrowth. The woman I go to uses some awesome kind of wax for sensitive skin and it barely hurts. She's awesome. I always go for the full brazilian. In the mean time I just shave.
Regarding partners, my current partner shaves as well (just by coincidence) and I don't think I could go back from this. Makes things so much more pleasant.

One of my friends and I were discussing this the other day, and I think our short dialogue clearly sums up my opinion on this subject.
Friend: I just like it shaved. I just do it when it gets itchy, you know?
Me: You know what's really itchy? A STUBBLY VAJAYJAY. :o
IMO, shaving is terrible.
Also, yes, I do use immature euphemisms for certain parts of my anatomy.
Jumpin in here.... I am natural. No hair alterations for me in the pubic area. I think I am lucky to not have a lot thoe, like when I stand in the mirror you almost cannot tell I have hair, and it does not go on my bikini area at all. I did shave once, and I hated it! bump, red, mad, itchy.... And I felt so naked! I am bisexual, so I have seen and spent time with naked men and women, in my circle of naked friends (or something....) there seems to be a lot of hairlessness!! So yes, I DO feel self conscious about my hair. It seems to be even thoe with men and women I am around. I hate it when others hair grows back as well. I have very sensitive skin and when it is prickly ( even if I cant see it!) It will cause little welts and bumps when I touch it with any part of my skin. And that goes for any shaved hair. Legs, chest, face... Kinda sucks....
I'm reviving this thread to let everyone know I want to get a wax but I'm a bit of a sissy and it costs so much so I can't decide. Hrm.
uS, they sell some at the store that's not too pricey and works pretty well. I think I bought the Nair brand last time.. I always forget I have it though.
I shave now because my bf prefers it and I admit it's sexier. I don't mind, I've gotten used to it but I don't like to "have" to do it everyday, just like I don't want to feel I "have" to wear make up everyday.
I've also been unshaved much of my life and all the men I've been with loved me just the same with just as much gusto.
It's cool if you and/or your partner think shaved is more sexy. For myself, I guess..... I just don't want my lover to have a mouth full o' fur. ;D Shaving down there irritates my skin somewhat, both a day or two after, when it's growing thru the skin, and after several days when it gets long enough to catch on my underwear. But it's something I do now, so I deal with it. I'm just glad my partner doesn't like a shaved - er, area - because it looks pervily pre-pubescent? I am only guessing here, but I assume that's one of the reasons many guys like it. ::)
tl, I want to actually go and get it done.
I sissy out when I try to do it myself, and I cannot contort myself enough to get it all gone, haha.
maaann, screw waxing. You'll save so much money by just trimming it back with scissors, and You'll avoid all that awful pricklyness like Sindel was describing above.
on that note, I finally decided to trim some of the lower bush with scissors the other night, because DAMN. It was getting in the way, Y'know... I stopped trimming a few months ago, because I wanted to see how big it could get. I underestimated the power of mah bush.

I shave my man bits and my legs and my armpits and sometimes my arms because while body hair is cool its not THAT cool! :>

haha. i'm curious how big it is. i haven't shaved in YEARS, but i always say i'm going to do some hair maintenance sometime soon just to remember what it's like or whatever. i have no desire to shave my pubes (been there, done that), but i was thinking about trimming them and seeing how that looks. maybe this thread will give me the inspiration.
also shaving my legs... i'm not taking a razor to the pits, either.
Well I got Sally Hansen's natural waxing kit and just did it myself. It's lasted almost 2 weeks and it didn't really hurt. But I guess the pain depends on how much you can tolerate. If you don't want to do it yourself or are too scared you could always get a trusted friend to do it for you.
It feels odd having nothing down there. It looks neater and a wee bit prettier but this was my first time waxing down there. I've always kept everything trimmed and my "boyfriend" thought it was odd that I shaved everything on my body but not down there so I gave in and I don't know what to think. It's kind of nice and it feels really smooth. But if I wax it again I'm getting it done professionally.
