Tomorrow is our 24th WA so we are celebrating today because tomorrow is my busy day of the week. I love where we're going, it's the restaurant of a beautiful hotel AND they now have vegetarian/vegan food on the menu!
We are going out for a special meal today so I am currently wearing a long wool skirt in a muted purple plaid (prettier than it sounds), black tights and shoes, pale lilac blouse and my heavy amethyst pendant and earrings. Yup, purple is my favourite colour. I even went and had my hair styled.
I feel beautiful.
(Note: the wine was very special, very good...like raspberry/strawberry/currant all mixed together. Haute cuisine at its finest.)
Congrats, yabbit (and yabbitman). Not many people these days make it to year 5 much less year 24. Glad your special meal lived up to your expectations! Here's to at least 24 more years! *raises glass for a toast* :)
* Also raising a glass to toast * Congrats on 24 years! May you enjoy many, many more happy years together!

Aw, congratulations! My husband and I just celebrated one... We've got some good role models to look up to!
Congratulations! And your outfit sounds lovely.
Happy Anniversary to the yabbits! Kisses from the States. :-*
Awww, thanks, group...no happy tears on here so, :-* :) ;)
Since DH is 62 and I am 45 (and pretty much defenseless in the modern world), I take every day, every week, as a great gift. It cracks me up that I have lived to be 45, if I had stayed in the situation I was in at college, I doubt I would have made it this far. I mean, grey hair! I ask you! ;D
The hotel's restaurant has returned its great cooking tradition, after a couple of years of "nouvelle bore". (You know, little heaps of stuff, pretty on the plate but not much to eat, all drizzled with an anonymous "coulis". Advice: If you see the word "coulis" on a menu, run do not walk out the door. ;D) AND there was a gluten-free as well as a veg*n menu! The salad I had as first course was mongo big and very good...I would never have thought of that combination of hearts of lettuce, tomato, red cabbage and a sauté of onions and carrots, with an olive here and there! It actually did work! Plus the "confit" of artichokes--no duck fat, just a caramelised sort of onion-mushroom sauce over good chokes...hard to describe but delish!
AND they haven't raised their prices since last year. What more can I ask for a 4 star restaurant?
YEAH!!! Congrats! :D Glad you had a nice night!
congratulations, yabbit & yabbitman! and your outfit sounds cute! (i also love purple!)
Congratulations on the success of your relationship and your celebration. (And purple is my favorite color too!)

Ah yes, the goose from Charlotte's Web. That made me smile! ;)
And today it is RAINING. What a gift! We needed it something awful, and it stopped just long enough to dash out and run some errands, and now it's back.
Bliss.
Congratulations Yabbitgirl!
We're one ahead of you and I wore turquoise because it makes me feel happy with hugely impracticable silver slippers because ditto. I love having been married for a long time.
