I'm in shock . . .

I literally just found out that a woman I went to high school with passed away this weekend after giving birth. She and her husband were friends of mine in HS. She was only 31 years old and she's left behind a husband and a 3 day old daughter.
I am so sad for both her husband and her daughter and it's just so unfair . . .
I'm sitting here crying wondering why God (or whomever) would allow this to happen. What is the purpose in this????
I don't have a reason, jewel. I'm sorry for the loss of a friend, a wife, and a mother.
Sometimes things go wrong with our bodies that even God can't fix. Giving birth is an incredibly difficult process, and it's extremely hard on a womans body. I am so incredibly sorry to hear about this, words cannot describe. My thoughts are with you and her family. :'(
There are so many possible causes it's hard to say unless you know more. I know my cousin's wife almost bled to death after giving birth...which is startlingly easy, given the large arteries involved. I didn't know that until she told me and I looked it up. She was in hospital for a relatively long time. They wanted to keep an eye on her for awhile!
I'm sorry to hear that.
That's awful! Oh! Jewel, I'm so sorry to hear that! (((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))) I think it's even harder to hear when it's someone you know (obviously) but that they are near your age too and doing something so natural and common as child birth! How tragic!
yikes. I wish I hadn't read that.
Sorry about your loss :-\
Pregnant friends beware. You may not want to read the rest of this post.
A woman I knew of, her father owned the Record Shop in my hometown, died in childbirth due to her doctor being drunk when he performed her epidural. Her family won such a large settlement from the hospital (in Lubbock) that it was forced to sell out to new owners/management. It happens. I hope this won't turn out to be the case with your friend. That would turn sadness into justifiable rage IMHO. :'(
Not getting good vibes, I have 111 days until my life changes completely, I don't want to think that that change could be the end! :-\
I am also sorry for your loss.

Sweetie, don't worry. Chances are very good that you'll be fine. Not to scare you but all of us are at risk of having our lives suddenly ended crossing a street on foot, driving down the road or eating a tomato! I still cross streets lookng both ways first, drive as carefully as I can and wash my tomatoes before I eat them.
I am so sorry, Jewel. News like that is just unbelievable and hard to digest. I think we take things like childbirth for granted in our modern society, and when something goes wrong it is just so hard to come to terms with.
I'm so sorry to hear that Jewel. :-[
So very sad.. it's a very tough way for a little girl (and her daddy) to start her life.

Thanks everyone - it was definitely a sobering day today. It truly makes me count my blessings and be glad for each day I have.
Just in case I haven't mentioned it - I hope you all know how glad I am to know you, I feel so lucky to have so many wonderful vegweb friends that I can turn to during rough times. :)>>>
(((Jewel))) I am so sorry about your friend. You and her familly will be in my thoughts and prayers.
