What kind of music do you prefer?
Since moving here to Long Island I have been craving country music, wierd! I think it is because I a country girl living in the big city and am experiencing culture shock because of it.
Get this, there isn't one single country music station. NYC, the 10th largest city in the world, the largest city in the US, and there are NO country music stations.
nah, i'm in nyc. never made the trek north for their tour finale, but after people start answering my texts tonight, i have a feeling i know some people that are gonna want to take a trip :)
I'm mostly into punk and the various subgenres of it - crust, hardcore, d-beat, peace punk, etc etc...
Also I'm a ridiculously huge fan of Bob Dylan, Steve Earle, Public Enemy, Ice Cube, the Beatles, and...yeah...ABBA.
FYI: If you're into Kylesa, I'd recommend checking out Damad, members of which went on to form Kylesa.
Whoever mentioned Mighty Mighty Bosstones... you're freakin' awesome.
I'm a folk and acoustic kinda girl, although my favorite band is not either of those.
I will listen to almost any rock (especially alternative), aside from most pop rock and screamo.
One kind of music I will never enjoy is any form of screaming music.
sensitive ears, I guess?
I listen to everything.
it's all about lyrics, personally.
My favorite band was The Matches, but they have broken up.
Now it's Maniac, which was formed by the lead singer of The Matches.

You just seem like the type...I don't like his latest album but the 3 before that seem kick ass.
And Eels aren't my favourite band but I think they're fairly swish, definitely in my medium range for coolness.

I actually had a semi-dream about him last night and it involved an epiphany: Mr. E = Mystery.

so, i will have seen 3 concerts in 2 weeks after tomorrow. first was pearl jam (very good), then the gods of all music that are dream theater. so amazing. we were about 6 feet from the band. i got petrucci's guitar pick. woot. tomorrow is lamb of god. should be some good southern style thrashness. i love music >:D
