Reasons to smile
I guess not everyone needs to find a reason, but... What made you smile and/or laugh today?
My first LOL of the day was caused by this LOLdog.
I went to the uniform laundry room at work yesterday, to ask if I could try on a size smaller in my trousers. And they fit! The laundry lady asked me if I needed a new shirt, too, so I tried the next size down in that, too. And it fit! Wow. My pants had been slipping down my hips a little for weeks, but last week they got ridiculously slippy. So happy to have confirmation that my body's changing shape/size a little. :iloveyou:
Humming along to the occasional good song at work... it's amazing how much it can lift my mood. ;)b
Overhearing customers' reactions when they can't decide whether flowers are real or not. It's hilarious either way - when they think fake are real, or real are fake. ;D
Oh, and the beautiful red tulips I got the Friday before last, which had been left out of water for who-knows-how-long (probably overnight) at work, recovered astoundingly well, and are still looking glossy and wonderful.

A sneaky plan I concocted this afternoon, to alleviate my loneliness/grumpiness: I went to the cool veg*n organics store after work and bought K some goodies, drove to his house, left them in the mailbox, texted him to let him know, and then zoomed off homewards on my scooter. The exact moment I was taking my phone out of my jacket at home, he texted me back.
Dialogue:
K: That's so sweet. Thanks. When did you come?
A: I came by just after six. Didn't want to disturb you; just wanted to show I was thinking of you today.
K: I thought of you too.
A: Have a good night. Stay warm... it's gonna be frosty.
K: How can I stay warm without you? Goodnight...

Today I walked to school around 9am. I had headphones on & was doin' the speed walk, when all of a sudden a DEER was right in front of me! It ran across the road, across the sidewalk about 5 feet in front of me, and then bounded off into the woods. It was SO surreal! It looked right at me as it crossed my path. There are usually no deer in that area of town, and definitely not at that time of day. I took it as some kind of sign, or luck, or something.
Also, tonight I played frisbee in the park with some friends :) and enjoyed the contagious laughter.

In that light, but not really, in college I worked at Target. A guy turned in an application and on it he stated his past job experience was as a stalker (instead of stocker).
rd and yabbit, I also had a budgie and he talked like MAD! he was so entertaining. He said things like Lucy (our dog, who he loved), Martina (me), Pudgie (his name), and he'd mix those in with "you're so cute ___" or pretty bird, or dirty bird, cute bird, etc. He also would say the word tweet, and the word caw - but only when he was in his covered water dish, so the 'caw' always sounded really funny. :D budgies are great

Tons of things!Sometimes I know he's chattering but I can't understand it all. I'd love to get a sensitive voice activated mike and set it up, like they do on Law and Order, and then analyse his chatter.
Mostly "You're weird!" that seems to be his fave. Directed at ME, of course.
