Something positive
I applaud all those who have shared on the "Vegweb Confessions" thread, but given the fact that many people are saying very negative things about themselves, I thought we could use a thread where we say positive things about other Vegwebbers and remind them how awesome they are. I'll start -
I can't imagine this website without Baypuppy. She contributes so much through posting and reviewing recipes, taking great pics, organizing contests and package exchanges, and starting popular threads in the forums.
Humboldt_honey always has kind words or useful information to provide.
secondbase, KissMeKate, and AllyChristine make us all laugh.
Yabbitgirl brings so much knowledge to the forums and is often the person whose posts I look to for the best answer to a question.
All of you contribute to this site through recipes, comments, pictures, posting in the forums...you all have something special to add!
pretty in punk reminds me of high school and my early college years. it always makes me smile when she posts something that i can totally relate to and reminisce about. : )
i love the care oktokrewl puts into her recipes and pictures. they're stunning and inspire me to keep practicing cooking and baking!
KMK, AC and Pink--you're like the cool girls I always wished I could be friends with--you've all brightened up this site with your wit, humour and sassy commentary! You girls just plain rock!
PineapplePrincess--you quietly go about the site posting in threads intelligently and gently--I always look forward to you posts.
Baypuppy--you're the glue that holds this whole site together and everybody knows it!
Jewel--you're a beautiful woman I'm just getting to know, we have a lot in common and I appreciate your friendship

Well, this is a tough one!
MDvegan is pretty awesome... but I might be biased since she's my best bud. She's the one who told me about this site, and then told me I needed to post on the forums more. Without her I wouldn't have met any of you wonderful people. :)
Yabbit is obviously the most helpful person ever. Just the right amount of humor and wisdom mixed together. 8)

Little2Ant is always so sweet and makes everyone feel welcome. She also brings up some great topics!
I learn something new almost every day on this forum. Whether it's how to use tofu, or discovering how I feel on ethical issues... something flips on a light bulb over my head every time I visit. I can't possibly name all the people here who have contributed to changes I've made in my life... or who've just made the day brighter with a clever post. I really enjoy this site, and that's because you guys are the greatest, most interesting people I've ever known... and you keep the "I'm a lonely vegetarian, poor me" feeling away! I love getting to know you all better.

Yabbitgirl and Humboldt_Honey have always been so sweet and support in response to my 'oh poor me it's so hard being a new vegetarian' posts...really, they have said some kind words when I was having a hard time.

laurabs is totally cute and always giving people hugs. you can tell she would be a good friend to just sit and hug you when you are in a bummy mood.
baypuppy was so nice to me during the package exchange with all my wierd requests and I appreciate that I was able to be a part of that. The package exchange was so fun, can't wait for the next one!
Cali is always so helpful and I appreciate her posts. Not to mention she sends awesome packages ;)

Just want to let you know that you ALL have inspired me to be a better person at some point in time. And you have helped me through many a lonely moment.
A few special quick notes:
mdvegan - I may not always agree with everything you say, but I truly admire you for having such educated convictions and sticking to them.
SnowQueen - I admire you SO MUCH for having the guts to go through being unexpectedly pregnant, alone in a city you hate, and planning to be a single mother. I lived in Houston, alone, through tough times also and it almost killed me. I admire your strength and resolve.
capture - I truly admire how welcoming you are to everyone. You have the biggest heart! And you seriously find the cutest pictures to post...they make me laugh.
SB - dude. we must have very similar taste in food, b/c every time you post, it makes me want to EAT IT NOW!!
hiimkelsi and lotus42 - I admire the passion with which you approach music and teaching. May you always have the fire to inspire others and stir the pot!!
pink - thanks for all the helpful chat advice and for helping me write my roommate ad. I think you are a very strong person and I admire your assertiveness.
BP - you are just that damn cool. I love reading your posts.
courth and LA - I admire you for living with diabetes (and for other things too!) at such a young age. My brother has it also and watching him has given me a great respect and appreciation for the daily grind you face. Keep on keeping on, and there will be a cure someday!!
lisaanddini - you inspire me so much, especially in the running arena!! And your dogs are really cute.

Suffice it to say that I don't know what I would have done over the past 6 months without all of my vegweb friends. It's been a tumultous time in my life, and no matter what, I've always known that I could come here for someone (or many ones) to turn to.
Y'all have become my friends, my family, my support group and my connection to to the outside world when I couldn't bear to deal with my direct outside world. When I've felt like no one else understood or cared, you've been here. For that, there aren't enough words of gratitude.

I instantly felt connected to you somehow, and we've bonded over some pretty ridiculous drama on this board. All in all, you're someone who I wish I knew in real life because I'm sure we would be close. There are few people in this world that I feel really connected to, and something tells me that you'd be one of those people in my life. So thank you, for being you.

Baypuppy and HH for good basic cooking tips explained for people, not a book. Books don't cook, so intelligible tips help.
BTW HH you were right about the curtains. LOL, she knows what I mean.
