Something positive
I applaud all those who have shared on the "Vegweb Confessions" thread, but given the fact that many people are saying very negative things about themselves, I thought we could use a thread where we say positive things about other Vegwebbers and remind them how awesome they are. I'll start -
I can't imagine this website without Baypuppy. She contributes so much through posting and reviewing recipes, taking great pics, organizing contests and package exchanges, and starting popular threads in the forums.
Humboldt_honey always has kind words or useful information to provide.
secondbase, KissMeKate, and AllyChristine make us all laugh.
Yabbitgirl brings so much knowledge to the forums and is often the person whose posts I look to for the best answer to a question.
All of you contribute to this site through recipes, comments, pictures, posting in the forums...you all have something special to add!
Like I said, I'm with ya.
Get this one...when I'm walking/biking/looking at....any animal....I hope that he/she will treat me differently. Like if I walk by a barking dog..I think if I smile at him/her...he/she will feel my love/see my compassion....and not bark at me. WTF?! Yeah. Or squirrels..I like when they come up really close to me b/c it makes me feel special, like the squirrel is not afraid of ME..........even though I know he/she just wants something to freaking eat.
Ellen Degenerous told a funny story about finding a stray "dog" on the side of the highway, coaxing it to get in her car to save it from getting hit, and then realizing it was a coyote!

Just yesterday, I was outside watching the cutest little bunny eat its grass. I felt like we were "hanging out" and I was annoyed that everytime I'd take a few steps towards him/her.. he'd hop a few steps away. I was like, "WTF? Don't you like me?". So then I would modify my approach a little each time. Like, I'd try to talk to it.. then take a few steps closer.. or smile, and walk towards it. But in the end it took off.

Ok, so I thought about this all weekend. I decided that it's too hard to name everyone so I will say this:
I'm thankful for all of you. Every single one of you are kind, helpful, and inspirational. You certainly are making the transition much easier and fun all at the same time. All of you have been through so much in your life, yet you don't let it bring you down. All of you are doing your part to better this world which gives me a glimmer of hope. Give yourselves a highfive. You've earned it.
