Two random questions... Regarding "Veg*n" & "DH"

These two questions are completely unrelated to one another, but I don't think it's necessary to start two separate posts... :)
1. Why do people use the spelling "veg*n" instead of just "vegan"?? I see this all the time, and I don't know why.
2. I also see people using "DH" on this board as an abbreviation when it seems to mean "husband"... What does it stand for, exactly? I have figured to "DP" means "domestic partner," and "SO" means "significant other," etc. But what is "DH"?
Thanks! :)
Thank you!!! Haha. The "DH" thing wasn't a huge deal because I basically knew that it stood for "husband," but the "D" made me really curious! :) Also, thanks for the explanation of "veg*n." I couldn't figure out if it was just some weird way of making "vegan" stand out or what! ;) Thanks again!
I was wondering the same thing! :)
Veg*n because if you're vegan you're a STAR!!! 8)

??? ::)
but also, like prettyinpunk says, the * is a wildcard and can stand for anything -- in this case, either "etaria" or "a".
Well D is supposedly Dear (DS, Dear Son, DD, Dear Daughter etc.) but D can also stand for Darned when they aren't being too dear at the moment or have maxed out the plastic again, or similar vagaries.

Tee hee hee! That was cute--I'm going to tell everyone I'm a star now!

Another question people are asking a lot is ...what "NVR" means. For those reading hereand wondering it's: "Non-Veg*n Related"
