update on my mom....

I just wanted to post this, and share this with all of you that have inquired, and asked me about this over the several months since I revealed on this board that my Mom was sick. My Mom passed away late last night. My brothers and I were able to make it here to Florida and be at her side, which I am so thankful for. I think it meant a great to deal to her, that we were there (as it did for my brothers and I as well). Thanks to all of you that have offered kind words of support for my Mom, and for me over the last several months.....I did hear them, and they meant a lot to me.

I'm sure that being with your mom was a comfort to her and surely having the brothers together was a comfort for all of you. I have lost both of my parents and knowing that my brother and I went through it together gave me comfort and strength. My thoughts are with you. It's a difficult time. Dave, so sorry to read about your mother passing. I have a candle burning & will offer up a prayer for her, as well as you & your family.

Dave, I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm glad at least you are able to be at her bedside before her passing. My grandmother died about six months before and my mother was so hysterical. I can't imagine the pain you must be going through. My mother still cries at the thought of her. I know that your mother is in a better place now and you will meet with her again, face to face. She will always stay in your heart and always be with you. My prayers are with you and your family.

Maybe when you're up to it, you could post a tribute to her on here - tell us about her?

I'm sorry to hear about the loss to your family. I'm happy to hear that you and your brothers were all there. I'm sure, as a mother, it was much easier letting go knowing her children are there to support each other.
