SO HOW'D IT GO?

Thank you so much! What about bell peppers? Can I use them instead of the jalapeno peppers ?

Be creative, try it out... That's what cooking is all about

I would like to make this with out the jalapeno peppers. What can someone recommend me?  :)

If you don't like jalapenos, leave them out. If you want a gentler spiciness, try a little smoky paprika or a pinch of red pepper flakes or white pepper.

My first recipe to try from this website as I have recently switched to a vegan diet. These were good but I found they needed more spice/flavor. I baked them at the suggestion of another comment on 350 for 10 minutes per side. I added alfalfa sprouts as the "lettuce" and it was a nice addition. I will definitely make these again but add some spices to the mix.

These were good! Needed more salt, but that's because I used salt-free canned beans. Still very delicious and fiberful.
I will be making these often, because as someone said, it's convenient in that the uncooked patties can just hang out in the fridge for a while.
Very healthy and yummy and just downright satisfying.
Thanks!

I made these burgers last night and they were very yummy.  I followed the recipe with the exception of pulsating the beans in my food processor, but not too much,  and they stuck together very well.  Many of the veggie burgers i've made in the past are pretty crumbly, but these were moist and delicious.  Thanks for the recipe  :)

thank you so much for this recipe! I always ordered Veggie Burgers from restaurants, and didn't want to go down the whole frozen dinner road, and these were delicious!

I really want to make these but could the cornmeal be left out? I'm allergic to corn  :(

Like Hopfrog said - the cornmeal is just used to dredge the mixture before frying.  I've never used it and I've made this recipe several times - it's always been fine for me. :)

I think so. The cornmeal is only used to dredge the mixture before frying. It gives the burgers a sort of crisp coating. I think I've even forgotten to dredge the patties before.  Use all flour instead.
