Chocolate Chip Cookies-Like They Should Be

What you need: 

3/4 cup raw sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup vegan margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4-1/3 cup applesauce (enough to equal 1 egg)
2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 (12 ounce) bag vegan semi-sweet chocolate chips

What you do: 

1. Heat oven to 370 degrees Fahrenheit. Beat sugars, margarine, vanilla, and applesauce together in a large bowl.
3. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt. (Dough will be somewhat stiff). Stir in chocolate chips.
3. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto a cookie sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until light brown. Cool.
This is a recipe that my mom has been making my entire life, and I was so so so excited that they turned out so well after substituting a few things.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

Great, easy recipe! if you add a teaspoon of almond extract it tastes even better! Definately among the best vegan cookies i've ever tasted

Super yum. I used 3/4 applesauce and 1/4 corn oil and I added 1/2 tsp baking powder for a cakey cookie. So. Good.
