Cream Cheese

What you need:

1 14oz package silken tofu
1/4 cup cashew butter
2 teaspoon water or soy milk
2 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon sea salt

What you do:

Blend all ingredients well until smooth. Now you've got an incredibly tasty cream cheese.
You can add onion, garlic, herbs, whatever to add extra kick to your cream cheese.
I use this in my cheese cake.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

I will never use this recipe again. It tasted like plain tofu and quite chalky. Maybe it was because I was stuck using Nasoya (gag), but this was a waste of money. :(

i really really didn't like this. i used the soymilk instead of the water and my silken tofu was a low fat variety. i just felt that overall it tasted like silken soy milk or something... i've never tried silken tofu on its own so i wonder if the whole thing just tasted like the tofu? gonna salvage this by making some smoothies, or maybe a cheesecake like suggested in the recipe, but this is going nowhere near my sandwiches and breakfast bagels!!

Yo.  I'm siked.  I haven't tried this yet, but I think it'll be a great thing.  I'm sorta sick of buying tubs of toffutti for 3.00 bucks...especially if it isn't ice cream.  (I probably wouldn't go there {making ice cream}, even as a DIY vegan.)
Cream cheese is something I can do.  I'll let you know how it goes...
