Microwave Unfried Indian Potato bondas

What you need: 
  • Mashed potatoes(4 medium peeled potatoes cooked on high for 5-6 min in the microwave)
  • 3/4 garlic head minced
  • 1 chopped green chilli
  • 0.5 teaspoon red chilli flakes
  • ginger grated about 1.5 teaspoon
  • chopped coriander 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice(1 lemon)
  • Asafoetida 3-4 pinches

For the batter:

  • 1.25 cups besan(chickpea flour)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • lemon juice (half a lemon)
  • turmeric 1/4 teaspoon
  • water to mix
What you do: 

1) add all the ingredients to the mashed potatoes & mix well & make them into round balls with your hands…

2) Then dip them in the batter & microwave them on high for 4-5 min…

3) One could roast them in the oven for sometime till its golden brown.Eat them as is or with tomato ketchup.Simple easy delicious fat free salt free snack…

Variations- use salt instead of lemon juice,you could fry them in oil using the same recipe if you prefer it that way...
