Heli's happy headhunt post (is headhunting vegan?) ;D made me aware of so many good things this week.
--Two of my students were afraid they wouldn't be able to study what/where they wanted because of their entrance exam results. BOTH get to study here in town, and do what they wanted. One future doctor, one future architect. Both young women of talent.

--Another student aced her English exams so she will finish her degree before the fall term starts. Whee!!

--And I am seeing light at the end of the weight-loss tunnel. Even if he did take away my cheese, at least temporarily!

Today is my first official completely vegan day.
I've got no more dairy products, I went shopping last night for awesome food and here I go.
YAYAYAYYAYAYYYYYYYYYYYY!

My band director is having us play a piece at the next concert of which about 1/3 is a piccolo solo. It's really easy, but it's like...all me since we have no percussion right now. I tell myself it's because I'm good, but sometimes I'm not sure. Either way, I love hearing my sound bouncing off the back walls of the performance hall. http://www.acousticdimensions.com/projects/pac/kennesaw.htm

Yeeeeeeee! I was just saying how I know like NO vegans whatsoever in DC, and guess what! My new assistant teacher (who I am already in love with for many reasons) turns to me and says: "I see you have a vegan button on your bag. Are you vegan? I am too!"

:D I love her. I am totally having her over for dinner and cupcakes.

I gave the Unpleasant Airhead the heave-ho today! It took some doing, she's the sort of person who uses silence and lack of response to what you just said to pretend she never heard it. But she is g-o-n-e gone and I even used her silence as an excuse to vent at her a little bit for her selfishness and inconsiderate behaviour.

She thinks she is starting a job next week. Well if her "Daddy's lil princess who hung the moon" behaviour is anything to go by, she won't have it long.

Strewth.

I survived the week without buying any antidepressants. I slept last night without taking any OTC meds. And the Universe has backed off my case.

First time in a long time the wheel stopped before it rolled over me.

Definitely something to be happy about!!

Well after baking with a temperamental oven for the better part of a year, during our maintenance walk through inspection, I told the inspector about the oven, and it looks like I'm not only going to be getting new filaments for the oven, but also a new floor for the kitchen and entryway!! YAY!!! hopefully the landlord won't use this as an excuse to hike up the rent I'm hoping to get the oven working before Thanksgiving so I can make the tofurkey with it!

Celebrity? (Heh, hardly...) Oh I'm blushing! The readership seems to be pretty small still, but I will turn that around!
