WILLWOLF WILLWOLF WILLWOLF WILLWOLF WILLWOLF WILLWOLF  :)>>> :)>>> :)>>> :)>>> :)>>> :)>>> :)>>> :)>>>

I arrived at my mail box after a LONG day at work..and found my package! I rushed (well..went really slowly b/c I had to carry the package and push my bike...) inside and opened it up...and it is pretty much the sweetest (sweasest) thing ever. I can't get over it. I mean, Willwolf is on top of everything I love! How? Tell me how, Willwolf? SO sweet! Agh....just so sweet. I had a giant box (I don't think Willwolf stayed in the $20 budget..but let's all forgive her!), and received: homemade pumpkin muffins (extremely yummy and spicy-as in spices), almond maple granola (yummmmmm; I'm so excited to have something to put in soymilk. We always have oatmeal), organic tomato basil marinara and some quinoa pasta (did you know this is our favorite?? How did you know?!)..we've never had the multi colored quinoa though! Oh man..2 yummy cashew chews and 2 yummy marshmallow treat bars (the chocolate one tasted like cocoa krispies!), VCTOTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG, I'm so excited-thank you so much, some cute baking cups, a decorating set, FC powdered sugar!!! How did you freaking know? Did you know I only use FC and make my own powdered..so it's all grainy..and I've been wanting to buy some..but not with regular cane sugar...OMG...

Look at that! Oh, and a really sweet note! Oh yeah, annddddd the two gladware containers that contain the muffins and granola!!!

Thank you so very much Willwolf. This has made my..life... : D <3  :)>>>

I'm so happy that you like your package, Allychristine!  It's good to see everything seemed to arrive safely.  You know, I just had to throw in something un-sweet to balance out all that sweet, so I decided to add in the pasta and sauce.  (And, yes, I read through some of your old posts and saw that you liked quinoa pasta.  When I saw it in the bulk section at my health food store, I knew it would be great for your package.)  I hope you enjoy your muffins and granola.  Let me know if you need the recipes.  I was going to include them, but I was in such a rush trying to get your package to the post office on Tuesday before they closed, that I decided to just write in a quick ingredient list, in case you had any real dislikes.  Have fun deciding which cupcakes to make first.  Of course, post all about them  ;).  (Yes, I did read that you preferred using Florida Crystals sugar (same that I usually use), and when I saw it available in the powdered (I'd never seen this before.), I knew it was meant to be in your package.)  Take care and enjoy!  :)

I truly can't get over it! It's all so perfect, and definitely all arrived safely! I would be scared to send that jar of sauce! I can't wait to make some cupcakes..
Also, you truly saved me from having to go to the store after 8 hours of work. We were all out of groceries..and needed to go, but I threw together your pasta and sauce..and it's the perfect meal. Thank you for being so very considerate.

OH, and I had some granola in soymilk before dinner..and it's seriously the best granola I've ever had (and I have made some before). I would love the recipe...although I don't know how often I can make it b/c there are some expensive ingredients in there! LOVE it.

Yayayayay!
I think I was more excited about assembling/sending a package than I was about receiving one! I thought for sure that you'd have tons of lavender in your incredible sounding garden, VS, so I wasn't sure about sending you any, but I'm glad I had a little last-moment inspiration! (That's what I get for working in the garden at 10pm the night before I send a package... :D) And I'm not a *huge* baker (curries and stews don't ship so well), and I saw you love coconut, so I thought that the granola would ship better and fare better in the summer heat.
Glad you like it!

Shar,

I love everything! Thank you sooo much! The lavender is amazing and I can't wait to use it. My lavender plant hates me and won't produce anything...prolly cuz I put it in a crappy planter...grrr
But now I have some fresh lavender of my very own. Yay! And I do love coconut like crazy  :> and I love granola...good combo! :)>>>

Allychristine, that's so awesome that you had the pasta and sauce for dinner tonight.  I'm glad I saved you the trip of having to go to the grocery store, at least for tonight.  I was a bit anxious about mailing the glass pasta jar (although I've done it before); notice that I did ziploc it just in case.  I also tried to pack it tightly so there wouldn't be much jostling around.  By the way, what did Patrick think of this?  Hopefully, he didn't think I was some crazy internet lady  :o ;).  My boyfriend knows I'm a Vegweb nut, so he pretty much understands all of this.

As far as the recipes, the Almond Maple Granola is a recipe from www.allrecipes.comhttp://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Almond-Maple-Granola/Detail.aspx.  I alter it some by reducing the brown sugar to 3 T, using half slivered and half sliced almonds, reducing the coconut to around 1 c and using unsweetened coconut instead of regular sweetened, adding some vanilla and cinnamon, and omitting the raisins (wasn't sure if y'all are raisin lovers or not).  I make sure to stir it around every 15-20 minutes so that it toasts evenly.

The Best Pumpkin Muffins are from VWAV.  The recipe is posted here on www.theppk.comhttp://www.theppk.com/recipes/dbrecipes/index.php?RecipeID=72.  The only difference is the VWAV recipe omits the soy yogurt.  I've made both ways, and both are fine.  I have reduced the oil by subbing applesauce for half in the past, although I didn't this time.  Please note that jumbo muffins are to bake for 27-30 minutes, but standard size only need to bake for 15-20 minutes.

Oh, no. He feels the same way I do! He just said, "I feel the same way you do." I'm sure he's not AS excited/happy..just b/c he's not so close with everyone...but he's very thankful. I can't wait for granola and soymilk in the morn!!!!  :) :) :) :)

eta: thanks for the recipes!!

We love that granola, too, Allychristine.  It's great for nibbling and great for cereal.  Enjoy!

Thanks again, VS and Tweety? Please reveal yourself if I have guessed wrong.....

Guess my balls gave me away....LOL

It was my pleasure sending a package.  I strived for variety.  I felt kind of lame just throwing things in a box and mailing them, when so many people sent nice packages with labels, notes, pretty wrapping paper....but it's the thought that counts right?  I bought a few of those balls myself, they were mmmm...good.  Enjoy.  :)

Thanks again~SO muCH!!!

Me too! I want her/him to be happy about what I put together. I'm waiting for it, praying that it's a "good enough" package. Not as fancy as other ones so far but...

And I haven't gotten mine yet either. I'm thinking early next week. I hope nothing happened to it.

Grrr. I so want to be in the next exchange. I've done craft exchanges just like this on craftster.org before, but I know I would so rock this. Sign me up for next time!
