Well, mine was shipped out of the country 8 days ago via priority mail.  According to the USPS, it takes 6 - 10 days for international priority to be delivered so my adoptee should technically be receiving it by Friday if they haven't already gotten it.

Yay, laurabs!  I'm glad everything arrived OK (at least it looks OK from the pic).  I was a bit worried about the tea cup, but I packed it pretty well so breakage would be unlikely.  I hope the cookies were still fresh!  They were so soft and chewy, so I hope the trek to Canada did them justice  ;)b

I think my favourite bit, besides the tea cup, is the banana coconut granola. I used to sit and eat bags and bags of banana chips... and since there are (some - which is good, I don't want to overdo it!) banana chips in this granola, it really hits the spot!

omg Laura.  My sister and I had a tradition of buying a huge ass bag of banana chips (99 cents/pound!) to eat in the car every time she came to pick me up from school.  They are the bestest.

Thank you Ponycakes! I got my package today!
Here's what was in it:
-Great looking Mediterranean cookbook
-Beautifully painted box for recipes or whatever else (in pretty greens!)
-A sweet note
-Cinnamon swirl muffins
-Lemon teacakes
-Ok's Coconut granola bars
-Two types of crunchy (they still were!) chickpea snacks
-3 Lara bars
-Clif bar
I've tried everything (I may have plopped down by the door and nibbled right after I opened the package  ;D) and it is all super tasty.  The muffins are all crunchy with cinnamon and sugar on top, and a little inside, too, just like a cinnamon bun. The teacakes smell lovely, as soon as I opened the container the lemon smell wafted up, delish! I can't stop sneaking bits of the granola bars, even though I want to save some for a snack at work tomorrow. The chickpeas are great, I love the spicy ones the most! I've never had Lara or Clif bars, so I'm looking forward to trying them. I found the first recipe from the cookbook and I'll be making it tonight! Thank you!

Thanks, Tweety!!!   :-*  (at least I think that's who my BBV was...my package looked similar to L2A's, so that's my best guess!)

I've already eaten a couple of the bars because I closed tonight at work and needed some munchies.  Josh already ate the peanut butter cookie from ABC (grr...I thought he'd at least save half for me!  oh well, I'll eat the other two  ;D  ) and I tried some of the peppered jerky.  Yum!  I've never bought tofu jerky before and it was pretty darn good!  All the food stuffs will be great for camping (we're going tomorrow--good timing!), the candle is in my bathroom, and I already broke open a bar of soap (we needed soap!  how did you know?!).  Thank you so, so much!  Oh, and I'm really excited for the caesar dressing--I haven't had caesar since going vegan, so it will be a nice treat!

I love VW package exchanges  :)>>>

ETA: I forgot about the kitty treats!  My cats say "MeeOWW!!" (i.e. thank you so so much!).  They love them!  That was so nice of you to think of my kitties  :-*

You're so welcome!  I'm glad you got the box o.k.  Yours took a bit long to travel across country.  I figured you'd figure me out once those pics were posted.

Enjoy your trip!

Actually I was thinking of Alice in Wonderland.  But what part of HP is that from?

Actually I was thinking of Alice in Wonderland.  But what part of HP is that from?

In the first movie, when harry goes in to Ollivander's to get a wand. When the wand that suits him turns out to be the "brother" of Voldemort's, Ollivander goes "Currrrious......very curious....."

I know those movies too well.

Oh OK.  Yeah, the HP reference was TOTALLY intentional, guys!  ;D

Weird!

I stopped eating banana chips a while ago, because it was a pretty bad habit the way I used to eat them. A huge bag in one sitting. So I went cold turkey (not a vegan reference, I know...) But the little hint of banana chips in that granola is nice.

You know, I never really liked banana chips..in my mind....but I never disliked them when I ate them. I liked those little dried pineapple chunks though. I have a semi-like/hate relationship with bananas.

Ditto on both of those. I never much cared for banana chips, but ever since TJ's came out with their "Nothing But Bananas," the chips have become absolutely unpalatable in comparison.
