Vegan WIN

So. My omnivorous husband is a construction worker/builder's apprentice. And the other day he said him and some of the 'guys' got talking about food, he let slip his wife is vegan, cue: "so what, that's like, just salad and shit?" at which point he gears up and explains the huge variety of hearty, delicious, varied, tasty and filling food I make, and points out we barely ever even have lettuce in the house, and that we eat a lot more interesting food than any of them.
I call that a vegan win.

awesome! i especially like when peeps don't know and gooble it up and you're like... ya bitch, that was vegan... if u tell them it's vegan right off the bat they just complain about how weird it is LOL
I bake cookies for all my climbing buddies and people at the gym, and almost every single time I get to do the "Yeah it's delish. It's vegan!" and shock someone. Gotta do it after the first taste, for sure. Changing the minds of the omnis, one at a time. I get them hooked on the vegan baked goods!
Omni-at-heart/ vegan-at-home hubby telling me about workday...
"I got told today that I'm looking really fit!" (sheepish grin) "... I had to admit it was b/c of my wife's vegan cooking..."

My best friend, completely out of the blue, told me that she bought a vegan cookbook and was going to do one day a week vegan. She also wants me to teach her how to cook and bake some veg stuff and she's been loving everything she's been cooking so far. She's awesome anyway though. We go out to all vegan restaurants and she doesn't even mind, she actually really likes the food!

Hmmmmm well I went from cooking food for 2 people to now having about 6 people asking me to cook for them... 3 regulars that give me $15 each a week for 2 to 3 lunches each... It's good in that I get to eat more variety and not so many leftovers... One of the guys said he is going to eat vegan 3 days a week to try to be healthier (I guess his daughter is vegan)... Just glad I can help out in something I'm good at :) can be stressful though when I'm up cooking late
that's great amy! I can't imagine anyone ever asking and paying me to cook for them. I mean people enjoy my food, but not enough to pay me to cook for them. Amazing for you!

ya i'm just happy that i have something i can do for animals... showing people vegans don't just eat twigs and berries but legit comfort food :) i cook out of Viva Vegan a lot
New win: Convinced a friend of my fiancees to go vegetarian. She's been trying to lose weight and I kept suggesting she do it, so she's been vegetarian for about 2 weeks and says she has had zero meat cravings.
